Problem with menu using AVS Video Converter

I am having a frequent problem using AVS Video converter to convert .wmv files to DVD when including a menu. When playing the resulting DVD, the menu options "Play" or "Chapters" frequently don't work. When clicking on them, the DVD won't start. If I convert the same files with the menu disabled, the resulting DVD will play fine with no menu included. Is there some glitch with the menus produced by the AVS Video Converter?
