Freeware alternatives of free Hotspot Shield VPN, VPNReactor, tor

 

How to get a USA IP address:

• Java Anon Proxy (JAP) is very similar to TOR proxy. You install a software, no configuration needed, and you got some new IP (limited ip addresses possible). JAP is German.
  
• More people use TOR. JAP is somewhat old... and was maybe the first of its kind. That's why it is still known and used.
  TOR is better, more modern. JAP is easy enough and works pretty good, but i don't recommend it. TOR is quite recommendable ...
  
• i definitely prefer freeware Hotspot Shield (HSS). HSS is extremely fast (transfer speed).
  
• SecurityKissTunnel (SKT) is slower than Hotspot Shield. I recommend it, although the transfer speeds are slow and there is a 300MB/24h transfer limit. SKT allows for US, UK, and DE ip addresses. Sometimes others as well (CH, AT, FR). When I need UK ip address, I usually use SKT. Recommended download!
  
• Another free VPN is VPNReactor. I haven't tested it and i dont know how it works. There's no downloadable software. I cannot recommend it but it's good to know that it exists. Short, i do not recommend it.
  
• Yet another free VPN is CyberGhost VPN Free. Check it out!

The free service is limited to some period and then it ..etc.. :rolleyes:
I never used it and i wouldnt know how it goes but they terminated my free trial anyway! :eek:

I've tested it. With VPNReactor FREE version you get
a Corporate connection to

• Staminus Communications, Florida IP Holdings LLC
• FDCservers.net, Illinois

transfer speed is ~1.0Mbps down, and ~0.47Mbps up.

It works great to initialize the localization of AIV's.

Hi, I want to use vpn services for home based work but I am buying vpn services by first time but I have used them. So I want to know before buying any vpn connection what things should be looked in their vpn reviews like feedback given by previous user or money they are taking for offering their service. How much is the average rate for vpn connection.

I can only personally talk from my own experiences, i have used strongvpn.com for a number of years and am generally happy with the service. 55 EUR a year i think for my system that i use to connect to Netflix and other US based services.

No real problems other than those i have brought upon myself by trying to do overly complicated things with DDWRT routers. That being said, i don't know if strongvpn keep logs, but as i don't use my VPN for anything nefarious, i don't really mind.

But if you are planning on using your VPN to leak sensitive government documents or something, you might want to look more closely into the privacy of the service, as i know there are VPN services that specialise in not keeping any form of logs, and make hay from that fact.

You may like Cloudnymous, although they have some free VPN servers (including one in Germany), their strong point is the pay-per-use pricing, like 0.15$/day.
