till some days ago StreamTransport working great on play.me (_www.play.me) but now it wont work i tried every program that exist but no one can record it.. i m trying now to use RTMPdump but i cant find out how to do :(

Do they use Flash Player or Silverlight?

Have you tried Replay Media Catcher 4, CooJah, StreamTransport?

coja detect a rtmpe streams but can't find url

trasportstream is unable to play audio

play.me is a nice music website. RTMPdump worked fine when i last tested it on that site.

my trial account has expired though :(

maybe *you* can test *your* GetFLV tool on that website and then post your feedback here in this thread. *we* dont have your tool (it is too expensive and ..etc..) and *i* dont have the time to do the testing. my suggestion, *you* test the tool on the website and then post a screenshot of how it successfully does the download (capture).

to make a trial account you just need a valid e-mail or a facebook account...

anyway RTMPdump needs a valid url ... and i have no idea how to grab url ... i tried everythink

ok. ive registered on the italy website for a trial. the standard procedure with rtmpexplorer incl. rtmpdump works just fine. here a song from "Selections From Michael Jackson's This Is It"-album, Planet Earth.

i have now a full version :eek: of the latest GetFLV and i must admit that it works with playme website. it does capture the URL and it downloads the FLV file VERY fast. near the end of the download process (~98%) the program seems to halt and it looks like a failed perfect download.

but when i exit the program and extract the MP3-file from the dubious FLV-file, the MP3-file is 100% identical with the MP3-file from the rtmpdump download. For your reference, Michael Jackson's Planet Earth:

If you sign up for Playme.com (U.S.A.) and GetFLV doesnt work for you, then you should try one of the following points:

1. make sure that you *are* located in the United States of AMERICA since playme.com is for U.S. citizens and i dont know Italian (play.me is for Italians :D)
2. make sure to install the latest version of GetFLV
3. make sure that your software is fully licensed and not a cracked version (TEAM CiO, TEAM YPOGEiOS, TEAM FALAFEL, etc.).

Maybe point 3. is the most crucial point. From what i've heard, cracked software never works as perfectly as does fully licensed installations. Also note that their releases are way old and far from uptodate. The current download version of GetFLV is 8.9.9.2! (see point 2.!)

The screenshot is proof enough that GetFLV works well with playDOTme! :cool:

now coja can find out urls and download also!

if i try many times then i can get url with CooJah 6
i dont know what happen but if i try many mahy times finnally then coojah6 work but i m not sure what is happening

i really cant explain what is going on

for 20 minutes CooJah worked using chrome portable and coja
then flash plugin started to crash on chrome and didnt worked anymore

then i tried using rtmpdump using the method of rtmpserv.exe but didnt work anymore i always got error saying that server is not adobe genuine (using a 100% correct url like you posted)

the only way for me that is working is using GetFLV to grab the url and rtmpdump to download but sometime i got error even with this method...

i m trying to found a stable way to download... but till now with no success

i am guessing you're using the italian website :)
i guess we cant help you more than we already did. i posted screenshots of rtmpdump (to be used with rtmpsrv) and of GetFLV, and both tools work fine for single tracks.

i dont know what happens to the tools if YOU abuse them by mass downloading full albums! :eek:

using getflv to retrive url and then downloading with rtmpdump is working.. i dont know whi

edit: now can't download with rtmpdump even with the getflv url! so only working solution is GetFLV... but is not a very cheap solution :(

but it really works! :D

(the point is: rtmpdump is "convenient" as long as you dont download more than 1 or 2 files (for example large XXX-video files or hulu). but if you download an entire music album with 15 tracks.. eek the efforts!! :eek: then all of a sudden rtmpdump is not convenient any longer :( )

you get what you pay for.

i am not italian so i cant test play.me and enough testing! (because i believe you!!), so now it is time to buy a copy of GetFLV!! :p
that's why we have this forum (SRF). in order to make you forum users buy a copy of the nice software we offer!! ;)

i dont understand you. but here some info: getflv is a forum member like you (representing the company of GetFLV) but he/she/they are not working for this forum like me, Stream Ripper, or Stream Recorder.

in the forum hierarchy you (Supertommy) and getflv are both on the same low level: simple forum members. :D

When I exit the program, and extract the MP3 files from suspicious FLV files, MP3 files are 100% and download MP3 files from rtmpdump the same....

yes, thanks for repeating. i think that's exactly what i had posted earlier in this boring thread. Maybe everyone has noticed on page1 of this thread that my screenshots of GFLV in action and of rtmpdump in action have been deleted by the image file hoster (mediafire). Mediafire never deletes files unless they receive some official complaint.

In this case the party pooper was/is, obviously, the makers of the music website (play me play.me playme playme.com dada dada.it dada.net ). i fully understand that they dont appreciate me showing Google (=the public) how their website contents (music mp3 tracks) can be easily exploited.

Other music services had mediafire delete my mediafire uploads too: Sony (see the Qriocity threads), Simfy (see the simfy thread), and Thumbplay wasnt very happy with my forum contributions either.

Since Playme sucks (i mean, they REALLY suck!) and is expensive and i cannot recommend it in any way, i feel tempted to create new screenshots. I dont think that there is much interest in the Playme service/website.

Google (or the public) should only know that it is very easy to download the playme streams in original quality with either of the 2 tools:

+ rtmpdump.exe
+ GetFLV

My final recommendation is:
Abandon Play.Me website. They suck. Sign up for something good like Rhapsody or emusic.

here some further info on the trial subscription:

when you're on a FREE trial with the Italian site, you can stream a max. of 5 full-length on-demand songs granted that you surf with an Italian ip address. after you've captured the 5 songs the Italian website forces you to take a break of 6.0hours before you can stream on-demand tracks. during that time the website continues to play full-length tracks but more like a (personalized or random) radio station. you click on Michael Jackson song, and Play.Me streams Madonna. you click on Janet Jackson song, and Play.Me streams Shakira. Etc. Yikes! :eek:

If you dont want to wait 6h for your next 5 FREE on-demand songs, you can sign up for parallel trial accounts:

Logout off your account. Clear the browser's cache. Reload the homepage. Sign up for a FREE trial, i.e. create a new account ("Prova Gratis"). Trash mail addresses are rejected, so use a standard email address (yahoomail, googlemail, hotmail, ..). And you're in with another 5 FREEBIES.

Maybe the most important point regarding the trial subscription is that you must do all(!) operations with an Italian ip address. If you shut down your proxy server shortly before you hit the Play-button, the website will recognize it and ..you'll see.. :D

The U.S. American website of Playme (playmeDOTcom) is less strict with everything. You can stream many more on-demand songs in full-length and the proxy server doesnt have to be on all the time. Although it is easier and more fun to record their songs, there is a disadvantage compared with the original Playme (playDOTme) website: The American website has much less CDs! Their catalogue (database of tracks) is much smaller! :(

i've tested PlaymeDOTcom (USA). looks like it's about the same game: the free trial (256kbps) enables you to catch and gather 5 url's (U.S. ip number required all the time!) with GetFLV and then finally download them (with your local ip) with GetFLV. when you try to play/stream/catch/gather the 6th song in a row, you're prompted to choose a paid subscription model (320kbps, Web Only $4.99/month vs. Full Access $9.99/month). And later that day (~6hours later?) you can again catch/gather & download 5 full-length tracks (without ads!) with GetFLV. Etc. And this goes on and on because your trial account doesnt expire. However the total FREE allowance is 5.0hours of listening per week. In other words, with the same account you can save ;) only ~5 FREE albums in 256kbps per week (with the GetFLV catching technique). The ads (~30secs radio commercials) dont disturb at all because they are not integral part of the tracks but superpositioned. GetFLV doesnt record them nor catch their true url's.

If the "rate" 5 tracks/6h (and the 5.0 hours/1week) is too low for you, go ahead and sign up for several FREE trial accounts. Just make sure to clear the browser cache when switching accounts.

And for U.S. ip addresses, the primitive HSS (Hotspot Shield) works just fine. Playme hasnt blocked HSS :)

i m using _www.cubomusica.it that is a light version of play.me for Telecom Italia customers, is possible to access this site only with a valid telecom italia IP and i pay just 2 euros month for subscription so is very good...

anyway the rtmpe path i sniffed with URL Snooper is a little bit different... and when i try to download i got always invalid signature error (seen in debug)

the paths are made this way :
