If one planes licensed DRM movies in Media player it return an error when it encounters a corrupted frame and stops. But you can movie the slider past this and press play again to continue no problem.

Is there a way to keep FairUse4WM going over these bad frames? You can re-record this by using proggies like Fraps but its so much hassle.

I think it is a good idea to ask about it at doom9 forum. The developers who continue the work of Viodentia can try to implement that.

for "FairUse4WM 1.3 fix downgrading Windows Media Player 11 Final to 11.0.5705.5043" to bring my IBX version down.
I did exactly, word by word written by the author.
Still the IBX version remains 11.0.6

I can't help you with the fix. However as mentioned in our FAQ: How to Remove DRM from Windows Media Player files with FairUse4WM 1.3 you may downgrade your WMP by using the the steps from another FAQ: How to uninstall and roll back Windows Media Player to a previous version.

this is what I always get whenever i try using fu4wm..and mirakagi

Extraction in progress on "Indiv01.key" 11.0.6000.6324 -- Please wait.
Phase 0 : Blocks: 1340 Large 0 Small, Errors: 0,0 Candidates: 5,3,2
Failure - Unable to identify RC4 and AES internal keys.

then it says that the ' file.wmv does not appear to be licensed to you'

is there any way to solve this?

I have tried all the possible ways to get rid of this drm, still no luck..been doing this for a day coz I couldn't watch the video I wanted!!! and it's not even for sale they just wanna hide it..i'm so so freakin out now..

Hopefully FairUse4WM will support this in future versions.

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

Hello, I am new and have a question regarding FairUse4WM. I have been using it for 6 months with no problem with Ruckus music files. All of a sudden tonight, it gave me the following message:

"requires a different private key."

I have read about this problem earlier in the thread but can't figure out what you mean by:
{If you get "requires a different private key", go back to the first page and re-extract keys. With v1.3, watch for the final message, it should say "Primary and # secondary keys (0 bogus)". }

Do you have any suggestions on how to start getting my files working again? also , why would it just stop working and giving me this message after working for months before that?

I really appreciate your help with this matter!
- BP :)

You must have updated the Windows Media Player recently.

The following thread adresses your issue:
"Different private key" error when using FairUse4WM 1.3
namely the following post:
Re-download DRM-protecred files and re-acquire the keys. Use fairuse4wm13 fix-2

hey, I'm having a problem with FairUse and I was wondering if this has already been addressed someplace.

I'm running Vista 64. When I open up mirakagi and run it, it says:
Mirakagi starts, code version 0.9
Found 0 keys in keyring.
It is finished.

And that's it. How can I get this to work?

None of those links work anymore. Could someone reupload it somewhere?

Did you follow the link in post #1 to individualize?

A couple of the links in post 1 still work, including the maxupload one (wait 10 seconds for the adview countdown, then link will enable). Don't forget to scan for virii.
