yesterday i did some extensive testing of downloading 2 hulu videos (both of over 100mins of length!!). downloading large videos seems to be a bit of a challenge since the download might get stalled at some point.

the post suggests that you resume the download (resuming works on Hulu servers, and on Amazon Instant Video servers, and ..etc..). the requirement for resuming is: you need to generate "a similar" captured url.

if your downloading a 1000K-bitrate video from "fplive" server and it stalls, then you must "generate" a url which too is "fplive" and "1000K". the procedure of resuming is described in post#2 of

And make sure to use the latest version of GFLV. Otherwise.. :rolleyes:

Videos downloaded from CBS.com with GetFlv problem

 

I can download from CBS.com with the latest GetFLV version. The downloaded video is in the format x/video.flv. They will not play on the latest version of BSPlayerPro, PowerDvd 11. I can hear the audio but not sound. The videos in question are I Love Lucy and Perry Mason episodes. I have Windows 7 Ultimate x86 SP1 on my PC. Any suggestions in how I go about playing these videos properly on the players I mentioned here? Thanks.:confused:

confirmed. GetFLV downloads a great quality video but it doesnt appear to be the one which is playing in the browser.

GetFLV does not seem to work for me. I am using:

Windows 7 64-bit
getFLV 9.0.23
flash 10.3.181.26
Firefox 5 (is currently default browser)

while viewing amazon previews, amazon doesn't recognize the flash player :( an example url where I have trouble at:

Also, I downloaded the zip file, but have no password. It is possible that I am totally daft, but I cannot seem to locate the password anywhere here in the forums.

okay, well I figured out the zip file issue, but the info there didn't shed any light on my issue :(

does the newest (9.0.2.3) version of getFlv have an issue with the current version (10.3.181.26) of flash?

Amazon doesn't recognize that I have flash installed...

In the spirit of helping out, I will let you know that this video does not download with getflv: http://www.funimation.com/el-cazador...on-the-run/sub

The video comes from hulu, and just requires age verification when viewed from the funimation site (it requires you to be logged in if you try to access it from hulu itself), but it will not show anything in getflv. (Other hulu videos seem to work fine -- although again, it is hard to tell with a partial 10MB file).

first of all, are you sure that you have forked out for GetFLV? i am asking you because you have given your vote in the poll which is indeed only for RL customers. this is the troubleshooting thread for GFLV users (RL customers or trial/demo users), so i have moved your problem here. feel free to post a screenshot of your problem with the AIV. (and note that GFLV intentionally comes up with unexpected results (or error messages) if you do use a cracked or pirated GFLV version! :p ). i will check your AIV page later and test it myself (because i enjoy testing GFLV).

For all other problems specifically related to GFLV, this is thread to post in. i will check your suggested webpage later too and test it myself (because i enjoy testing GFLV). EDIT: looks like chap managed to download your XXX-video with GFLV. Thanks chap for the hand!!

And no, i dont work for GFLV team. But i certainly like to give them a hand in the spirit of supporting their work. It's called community spirit, respect and fairness. (And i only treat noobs and spammas unfairly ;) )

no, I have not bought it yet. I downloaded the free trial to see if I liked it. So far, it isn't working for me. That is why I am posting here to see if it is a simple fix or perhaps an issue with this version.

oh and as for the poll, I read it too fast. Didn't realize that it had "...regret forking out for it." on the end there ;)

Here are the screenshots. In the first one, I am sitting at the URL before pressing "preview." I have highlighted the URL (more so that I am using Firefox as my default), the preview button, and the version.



Second screenshot is after pressing play. I have highlighted Amazon's issue with the flash player, and again, the version, Firefox icon, and also the "buy now" indicating the trial version.

The first one is not my complete list (I did not see the benefit in capturing the superfluous plugins below the screenshot), but the second one IS the complete list (nothing below what you see in the screenshot)

1.Open your Internet Explorer.

2.Navigate "get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ " to install latest flash player for IE.

3.Restart your GetFLV to check your problem again.

We can download your video no problem.

Curious as to why it would need the IE flash plugin when Firefox is the default browser that it is using.

I have set Firefox as default browser (in FF settings and in IE8 settings) but when i surf with GFLV to any online browser check testpage, the webpage tells me that my browser is Internet Explorer. This means, to me, it is difficult to actually make GFLV employ FF as browsing engine!

So the best solution is to let GFLV have its preferred browsing engine (which is apparently IE) and not worry about it. Just make sure that you have the latest Flash player installed for both Firefox (Flash version 10,3,181,26) and Internet Explorer (Flash version 10,3,181,26) . I was able to download the full episode of your brutalo video (~799MB) and play it fine with Windows Media Player 6.4 (mplayer2.exe):


Amazon Instant Video (and GFLV) rocks, doesnt it?? :D

i am not logged into Hulu nor into Funimation. My licensed version of GetFLV catches high and low video quality url's. As soon as you see the url, download it! If you wait too long, the download might fail (or you have to restart GFLV and reload the webpage). Resuming is possible (even after closing GFLV and relaunching it) .. but that's no new news ;)

Since it's unclear how to get the "1000K" url's with Funimation, i suggest that you login to Hulu (not Hulu Plus) and watch the XXX-video from there because the Hulu Player gives you more control over the video quality streaming options (and to be fair, let me mention that TubeDigger downloads from the Funimation webpage directly (in 650K quality) without hassle):

I am trying to get a HQ stream from HBOGO.com with GetFLV & it only seems to be downloading the medium quality stream based on resolution when yesterday I was able to get the HQ streams with no problems. Could the servers just be more busy today then yesterday or something ?

I'm having an odd problem that just started happening. Whenever I start a download, it shows it in the download list but it doesn't show the percentage, file size, or anything else:



The file IS actually downloading, because if I open the file location and refresh repeatedly the file size increases, until it eventually stops when the download is complete. But I have to go back into GFLV and delete the completed downloads in order to unlock the files so I can move/delete them. So it's become a huge pain. When I first installed the program it worked fine, so I don't know what has happened.

I have the latest full version and have uninstalled/reinstalled repeatedly as well as deleted GetFLV registry keys.

hi, I can download from this page-> _http://www.alkass.net/live_plus.aspx but when I play that video it's 2 times slower than it should be. So I open it in VLC player and press 2x speed and than is normal. But I can't upload it to youtube if it's slow. Any solution?

I have the same problem as Buda, but with BBC I Player. It started with version 9.0.2.6. Using Windows Ultimate X86 with the latest Adobe Flash Player. Thanks for any help. The file actually downloads even at 3200K but no info is available regarding the download info.

The latest version of it won't detect RTMP/RTMPE streams. Can someone please help me fix it so it will?

EDIT: It detects RTMP streams when unregistered, but not when registered.

EDIT 2: Actually, it only detects RTMP/RTMPE streams the first time its ran after installation. When running it again after closing it, it doesn't detect them.
