Mirakagi - 'Cannot locate encrypted code chunks.' Please help :)

Hey everyone, thanks in advamce for th help.

Well I followed the instructions on Rorta to download Netflix movies.
And I can successfully play them but can't get the licenses out to unDRM it.

Quote:

I followed these two steps exactly:

14. Back already? Well OK, assuming the file has finished downloading, time to exorcise the Micro$oft DRM demon. Go to the directory that the file was saved to (if you didn’t enter a custom path it will be saved to the location you were at in your command prompt when you entered the commands). This part is a wee bit tricky and might take you a couple tries to get it down pat. Open the data.wmv file in WMP, and you should see the same alert you saw back in step 4. This time click YES to connect to the Netflix site and acquire the license. (In Internet Explorer 7, you might get a security warning about an ActiveX control, click on the security bar and select ‘allow ActiveX controls…’).

15. Immediately after you click Yes and are presented with a ‘media usage rights acquisition’ dialogue, launch mirakagi and click ‘Start’ as soon as you see the ‘Play’ button become active (in other words clickable or not grayed out) in the rights acquisition dialogue in WMP. Mirakagi should then tell you that it has found a couple keys and that it's done processing.
Please see file version information and Mirakagi log below.

Thanks again, Kenny

I have the following setup:
WMP 11.0.5721.5230
IBX 11.0.6000.6324
FairUse4WM 1.3 Fix-2
Mirakagi 0.9

Ibx stuff

My ibx number is 11.0.6000.6324 and i don't even have WMP downloaded (yet). When i open fairuse and hit recover keys i get "IBX Version 11.0.6000.6324 isn't supported yet." or some other times i get something like code encryptions not made or something along those lines. How can i bypass this or when will 6324 be supported.

The instructions on Rorta are *outdated* and the thread does not look like it is being update anymore.

Any ideas how to get around this?

Yep, fought this for a while, no posts I found helped much except to point me in the right direction to the friggin' DRM files that are killing me. This might not be the best or cleanest solution but it worked for me.

1. uninstall wmp 11 (control panel, add/remove programs, windows components)
2. uninstall wmp 11 runtime (control panel, add/remove programs)
3. uninstall Microsoft User-Mode Driver Frameworks (control panel, add/remove programs). if the Wudf01000 confirmation box appears click OK and continue
4. Open a command window. Click Start-->Run enter cmd and hit enter.
5. change directories: cd \doc*\all* <--puts you in \Documents and Settings\All Users
6. remove unwanted attributes from the DRM directory: attrib -s -h DRM
7. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to \Documents and Settings\All Users and then delete the DRM directory
8. go to microsoft.com/download and get wmp 10
9. install wmp 10
10. download a song from your service that has the DRM license. Play it. I downloaded one from Napster. This should reindividualize the DRM keys for you. You will now be using IBX 11.0.5497.6285.

If you find a problem after this, the other thing I did that I don't think I really needed to do was run a drm reset program. The one I got was available at Napster. Search support for "reset drm" or the filename dr1009.exe. I ran this between steps 9 and 10.

After all this I can use fairuse4wm as before with no issues.

Oh if you need this to work with wmp 11, I haven't reinstalled to test. I know fairuse4wm worked with my wmp 11 version before. I suspect when I bought my mp3 player and was loading drivers, the best buy program which runs rhapsody updated my IBX. Can't say for sure though and since Napster works with wmp 10 and it's all I need now I'll probably leave it at that.

Doesn't work for me. WMP 10 wants me to update, otherwise it won't play the DRMed song.
When I update, FU4WM requires a different private key. But mirakagi no longer tells me about IBX 11.0.6000.6324.

I did all you've said but Mirakagi doesn't find the keys.
I have MP10 now. The licenced WMA are played but Mirakagi doesn't find any key.
Can we just deplace the DRM folder to an other direction?

What kind of error exactly do you have? What kind of WMA files do you have, ripped from a CD or purchased online?

Re: mirakagi - error - Cannot locate encrypted code chunks (IBX 11.0.6000.6324)

The same WMA like before. So, it worked before, it doesn't work anymore. I had the same error message which we're all talking about but after having done what the last post said, I have not error message anymore but Mirakagi doesn't find the keys.
So, it's the same problem which we're talking about since 2 pages of post.
A solution or not???

There might be no error, but you should be more specific anyway :) You can provide the log of your Mirakagi like in the example below
Code:

Mirakagi starts, code version 0.9
Found 0 keys in keyring.
-----------------
Processing "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\cache\Indiv01.key"
Version: 11.0.6000.6324 ...
XML - Cert: 84 bytes, Key Storage: 1392 bytes.
DLL 1000/fe41c @ ac01000 && 100000/2347d @ ad00000
Cannot locate encrypted code chunks.
