drm removal with mirakagi & fairuse1.3 fix2? IBX 11.0.6000.6324.

"Also, don't install Update 929399 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929399), as it will update your IBX as well. " - from: unDRM.info: Removing DRM FAQ: How to Remove DRM from Windows Media Player files with FairUse4WM 1.3

How can this be possible as everytime you 'play' a drm protected file on WMP11 you are told that you MUST upgrade to gain access. Once you have gained access to play the file [and obtain keys], the mirakagi NO LONGER works! If you attempt to downgrade the WMP as soon as you play the drm file again, you are immediately directed to upgrade once more or the file will not play!

the black box is: 11.0.6000.6324.
WMP is: 11.0.5721.5145

this process is the same even if you try it through a virtual PC and it would appear that I'm only aloud to install my current XP-SP2 operating system on the virtual PC as anything else just freezes!

What am I doing wrong please? What is the solution? Fairuse worked fine until last week when I had to reinstall the O/S. Now it's "no go!"...
answers here please....

-------------------------------
this what I get from Mirakagi:

Code:

Mirakagi starts, code version 0.9
Found 0 keys in keyring.
-----------------
Processing "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\cache\Indiv01.key"
 Version: 11.0.6000.6324 ...
XML - Cert: 84 bytes, Key Storage: 1392 bytes.
 DLL 1000/ff014 @ ac01000 && 101000/238a8 @ ad01000
Cannot locate encrypted code chunks.
It is finished.

Some content providers force you to upgrade your WMP. There is nothing you can do about it.

I duno whether WMP11 forces you to upgrade or not. But you can see people using WMP9 with IBX 11.0.6000.6324.

If your IBX is not supported, you can wait until the newest version of lossless DRM removal software starts supporting it. Or you can use a clean system and allow selective updates only (avoiding the ones that ugrade IBX). Alternatively you can use lossy DRM removal tools.

i am able to remove drm from WMV files to watch them on my TV, with the help of VMWare, my Win XP SP2 CD, and FairUse4WM-Fix-2.
All others utils are not functionning : Mirakagi, drmdbg, because WMP9 from XPSP2 perhaps.
WMP 9 shouldn't be upgraded to have IBX 11.0.6000.6324 on individualization!
  1. Install VMWare server,
  2. Create new Virtual machine, network from NAT through Host,
  3. Install XPSP2,
  4. Disable all upgrades,
  5. Share a directory from Virtual XP,
  6. Put WMV file on it, with FairUse4WM-fix-2,
  7. Watch 10 sec of a licensed WMV file (WMP 9 will individualize, and acquires the license),
  8. Close WMP9,
  9. Launch FairUse4WM-fix-2,
  10. Recover keys, follow the instructions (just watch a Licensed WMV file-you must have the license)
  11. You're ready to remove DRM from your legally owned WMV files.
Something i don't understand : my WMV files provider says that i *must* use WMP11 to watch, but WMP9 handles it without any problem...

Am I missing something here please?
Everytime I acquire digital rights/permisson 'keys' through WMP it automatically triggers a mandatory WMP upgrade that simultaneously renders Mirakagi useless and therefore I cannot recover the keys with Fairuse! Please elaborate on your solution as I'm obviously not getting it - many thanx!
Does WMP9 come with XP-SP2?
you don't use Mirakagi?

Problems with Mirakagi and Fairuse4WM

Whenever I try and use mirakagi i get this messaged:
Processing "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\cache\Indiv01.key"
Version: 11.0.6000.6324 ...
XML - Cert: 84 bytes, Key Storage: 2913 bytes.
DLL 1000/f77dc @ ac01000 && f9000/234b0 @ acf9000
Cannot locate encrypted code chunks.
It is finished.

This just started about a week ago, and had worked for months up until then. Also, when i use fairuse, it says taht it cannot find the key for some of the files. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When is the ETA of the newest lossless DRM remover?

Recover Keys

Hello Stream Recorder, I had fairuse installed on my original 80gb harddrive but then upgraded to a 200 gb, and am trying to install this but coming across some problems i dont remember encountering the first time. I've read through a ton of forums to relating to this.

When I click recover keys it comes up with this.

Extraction in progress on "Indiv01.key" 11.0.6000.6324 -- Please wait.
Failed - Unable to locate encrypted code table.

When I try the mirakagi it says...

Bittersweet 1 file, error 1, keys 0
Mirakagi starts, code version 0.9
Found 0 keys in keyring.
-----------------
Processing "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM\cache\Indiv0 1.key"
Version: 11.0.6000.6324 ...
XML - Cert: 84 bytes, Key Storage: 1392 bytes.
DLL 1000/1062f4 @ ac01000 && 108000/2d4e0 @ ad08000

I'm sorry if this has been covered. THanks for the help though

Good question - is there any progress on the new lossless DRM remover, that can handle 6324?
