Please help with capturing multi-bitrate video (Brightcove RTMP)

Hello guys..

I have a problem with recording quality of RTMP stream lecture video. From what i learn, the video is provided via Brightcove with their multi-bitrate (bandwidth adaptive) streaming method. (no quality choosing like in youtube)

The internet in my country is not blazing fast enough, so initially the stream is provided in low quality (barely unwatchable), but after several seconds, it changed to watchable high quality.

I've used Replay Media Catcher 5 and RTMPDumphelper, they can get the video, but only the initial quality when i first open the video (which is barely unwatchable low quality).

Do you guys have any method so i can take the rtmp stream when it changed to high quality?

because recording it is simply not feasible because the quality keep changing due to my bandwidth is unstable.

To give some context, the website is an online learning platform. I've paid the membership to get the lecture video, but they only provide the video via online method. It is really frustrating that after spending 500 bucks for it i can not barely enjoy the video due to technical difficulties...

please help me guys

URLsnooper will be able to see the new data when it switched to a higher bitrate: http://www.videohelp.com/software/URL-Snooper

Dear sir, thank you for your reply,

I've just tried urlsnooper, but when the video quality changed, unfortunately the rtmp stream link in it didn't change. I don't know whether this is an unique feature of brightcove or what, but i cant find the high quality rtmp link whatsoever.

Getting a lil bit frustrated here. I really appreciate it if you have another method that i can try.

Thank you anyway sir

I use this provider for streaming multi bitrate and I record everything - no issues for over half a year now with Streaming Video Provider. I have the option to split the recordings during live streaming ( just for backup purposes ) so that separate files are generated at a time in case something happen. Quality is good i recommend them:
