playback during recording?

Wondering if theres a video player that can actually play back any of the videos DURING recording?


flv player works for most part if the video is 320x240, but if its like hd or bigger resolution it fails 9 out of 10 times.

tried vlc but that fails for most part too, it usually just quits the playback... maybe some tweaks for it?


any suggestion helpfull... i even thought mpc had some stream option but i havnt figured that out. cheers.

Files that you are trying to play during the recording process behave different for every app you are using and also different in every player you are using. That means that recording file would not be played same in VLC player, Media Player Classic, FLV player etc. so the solution will be to try playing file in different players. Personally, I am using portable version of 5 different players and Media Player Classic has been able to play most of the files. Further, depending of application you are using recorded file from same website will not be playable in the same player. Also, sometimes you have to refresh folder with file you are loading so the player could play it. Otherwise player see it as non playable file or unknown file format.

mpc plays back 90% of the files... what i meant is playback during recording... seems only flv player does it decently and updates the file as its recording... wonder if theres any more players like it but for hd video.

I use VLC 2.0.3 to play the video while downloading without a problem, but I let the downloader program have about a 2 minute head start. If you start watching immediately, the player will catch up to the end of the downloaded file and shut off. Sometimes I need to restart the player 2 or 3 times, but once the file size gets bigger, it works fine.
