Orbit Downloader "found out" by sites?

Orbit Downloader was recording lots that a threw at it about a year and a half ago. Then, it was like "found out" by the video sites, because it stopped recording stuff. Does anyone know of any other software out there, freeware, that does a better job of recording stuff? I used to record Jay Leno streams from the NBC website 2 years ago. Nowadays, i can't. There is a little chain/lock icon showing that it's a locked website.

The problem is probably related not to Orbit Downloader or any other RTMP Flash stream recorders, but to the fact that content providers started switching to a non-recordable RTMPE flash streams or to MoveMediaPlayer.
