New GetFLV ProblemWell, the problem is new to me. I've been using GetFLV for a couple of months (Golden Version) with no problems. Yesterday, when I tried to record something from Demand5 (UK TV) I got this error message:
Unable To Install the Adobe Protected Content Module. Click here to upgrade your player Tried a different programme on demand5 and got the same message. And obviously I did also click to upgrade my Flash Player. I'm definitely running the latest version. The phrase 'Protected Content' looks like they may have found a way to stop downloads from GetFLV. Anyone else had this problem? Cheers |

Re: New GetFLV ProblemThanks Chap. That makes sense. What's strange is that as recently as a week ago I was using GetFLV with no problem. What happened over the last few days to cause this?

Re: New GetFLV ProblemSame problem with TubeDigger - their support confirms that Channel 5 now uses additional encryption. This appears to affect content from the past couple of weeks onwards. Only time will tell whether they will retrospectively apply it to everything.
The workaround for now is to use the Demand 5 YouTube channel. TubeDigger is able to download videos in "Rec" mode ("recording" them as they are played), so GetFLV should be able to do something similar. |
