Need Help in overlapping music

Hi, i need some help burning a CD that overlaps each song by about 1 minute maybe less. By overlap i mean that if one song is about 1 minute from being done, the next song would automatically start and would sort of " blend ", and then, i could burn to an MP3. Also, i tried using mixers, such as Audacity in order to do this. It worked, to an extent, but since i havent been using technology for awhile ( apparently, I've been living under a rock lol) I'd appreciate some help on this, maybe a program that you can recommend ( preferably cheap or free ). I need the music for a New Year's party.

Anyways, Thnx

1 Minute is a bit much for an overlap don't you think? Unless you're mixing techno-tracks and fading in/out both tracks.

At any rate, i'm not sure...I've used software to do this before, but it's been a few years. I'll dig in my closet and see if I can find it.

Ah thnx for the help. actually i already found something that was somewhat of what i needed. I just used Windows Movie Maker, and used the timestream to overlap music and burn as one continuous song =P
