mp4 video to mp4 audio without reencode Problem with mobile phone player

Hello,

i need to convert / extract the audio stream of a mp4 video to a mp4 audio only file without re-encoding. In other words just remove the video stream from a mp4 file. The mp4 audio stream is aac.

I found the program SUPER 2009 which supports copy audio stream and disable video. The Problem is that my mobile phone (Samsung i8510 innov8) player does not play these files, winamp does.

Its also possible with this program to copy the audio stream to a aac file, which my mobile phone can play, but i want proper mp4 files. I also tried to convert the mp4 video with the in-build converter of winamp to audio only mp4. This file also works on the mobile phone but its reecoded with a specific bitrate.

I guess it has something to do with the mp4 header SUPER 2009 produces.

So does anybody know another program, which can do this? Or a program to repair / modify the mp4 audio only files to work with my mobile phone?

Thanks,
railbot

Hm, i tried to download the trial version but it was 1,4 GB (no joke) in size. This is too much for such a simple job.
Any other ideas?

Re: mp4 video to mp4 audio without reencode Problem with mobile phone player

Thanks for your replies.

I tried AviDemux but didnt find an option to disable video.
Open the aac or mp4 audio only from SUPER 2009 also doesnt work.
I think this software is only for containers with video stream.

I found that dbpoweramp seems to have a aac to mp4 exe file. So i will try to convert first the mp4 (with video) to aac with SUPER 2009 and than back to mp4 with dbpoweramp, when i have time. Thats not a fine solution.

So if anybody has another suggestion just post.

Thanks,
railbot

If somebody is interested, i found a nice program which is also very fast and my mobile phone plays the created audio files.
The Program is Yamb, which uses command line tool MP4Box.
