Movielink DRM bypass with tunebiteNow this is not by any means a specific way to do this but it has worked for me by trail and error.
Trying to burn Movielink movies with DRM protection is next to impossable, let alone trying to play them using a different player like Nero. Now I tried using Tunebite, but the front movielink bumper always screwed it up, so if that was removed it might work. I suggest that you use a hex edit program, copy your movie file rented or purchased and using the hex edit program you will need to edit one item that will make tunebite bypass the movielink bumper. I use hex editor and here is an example of the first 2 lines of hex. 30 26 B2 75 8E 66 CF 11 A6 D9 00 AA 00 62 CE 6C 0&.u.f.......b.l 0A 1C 00 00 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 01 02 40 A4 ..............@. In the 2nd line I changed the 15th octet from 40 to 2E. 30 26 B2 75 8E 66 CF 11 A6 D9 00 AA 00 62 CE 6C 0&.u.f.......b.l 0A 1C 00 00 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 01 02 2E A4 ................ What I think happened is it destablized the bumper from not running, and it enabled tunebite to start the actual movie. I've only tried this on 1 movie so far as its still going through tunebite, but you will also notice that all files do not coenside with the above hex, so the goal is just to change one thing within the first part of hex in your movie to destablize the bumber and then use tunebite to rerecord it and then burn it to DVD if you wish. |
