Re: Mirakagi and FU4WM error 'Exception c0000005' (Napster messed up Mirakagi for me)

Yeah... I don't get that readout in the window. Do I have to wait for the song to finish playing? Does that mean I have an old version?

thanks for all your help btw.

You should see at least something after starting
Code:
drmdbg Ver 0.31 by taku
If you don't make sure you use the drmdbg. Also make sure to check all your downloads, especially the risky ones, with a reliable antivirus software like Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Kaspersky Internet Security.

Oh, ok. Do I have to do that for every song that I got from the service, or just one?

Okay, so I played it all the way through, but I'm not getting a read out.
Here are the steps I take.

1. Open drmdbg
2. choose the folder with my music
3. hit 'multi-scan'
3. wait for the song to finish playing (hit mute)

When the song finishes, nothing happens. I don't get the readout and I don't have a file where I told it to make the DRM2 Directory.

I'm going to run it as an administrator, see if that makes a difference.

ps: my edit button doesn't work, so I have to make multiple posts.

IBX version on Windows Vista

You should find the IBX version in the following folder
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM\Cache\

Oh, the latest version of drmdbg has GUI... I didn't know that they switched from console application.

It shows IBX version when fully loaded.

And many users reported drmdbg 11/5, 11/5 to be working with IBX 11.6000.7000 on Windows Vista.

Also fu4m 1.3 fix-2 works with IBX 11.6000.7000.

The only problem I have seen is that these DRM removal programs work fine with a single service, while multiple music services with DRM-content make changes to Windows Vista, after which one couldn't remove copy-protection.

The only solution to the problem is to install a fresh copy of Windows Vista and use only one service with DRM protected content.

that's my problem then. I was using Ruckus, then I switched over to Napster. That's what I get for trying to cheat Napster.

Re: Removing DRM on Windows vista with IBX version 11.6000.7000

I reinstalled Vista, but now, when I want to install the Ruckus software, it wants me to do an upgrade to my WMP. When I do that, it makes mirakagi not work anymore.

Mirakagi works if I don't do the upgrade, but afterwards, it gives me the c00005 exception. Is there a way for me to trick my Ruckus software into thinking I upgraded?

If you have old Ruckus software that doesn't need the upgrade, you can do that.

Otherwise try to use drmdbg + freeme2 / drm2wmv.
