Mac Software that can record mp3s from myspace?

Is there any Mac Software that can record mp3s from myspace?

Last time I tried there were HTTP and RTMP MP3 audio streams at MySpace. HTTP streams can be recorded with many programs. You may try VLC or MPlayer, for example. The only problem is to get URLs of these streams. You may try some packet sniffers.

The only software I know that can record RTMP MP3 streams from MySpace is Replay Media Catcher for Windows. To run it on an Intel based Mac you'll need something like Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop for Max OS X.

do those record the original bitrate of the mp3? i've been using myspacemp3gpher on my work pc and it only records them at 96. but now i can't even get gopher to work anymore

MP3Gopher rips the streams saving the original bit-rate of a broadcast.

As far as I know Replay Media Catcher was developed by the same guy who created MP3Gopher. I don't think the developer will support both programs.

You may try the demo version of Replay Media Catcher at your work. You may also try freeware Orbit Downloader. It can record .FLV RTMP streams, but I haven't checked it with .MP3 RTMP streams yet.

Or just send me the URL of the MySpace page with music so that I can try.
