looking to host a website where I’ll be streaming live video content

I’m looking to host a website where I’ll be streaming live video content commonly from people’s home for paying customers to view. If successful there will be 1000s of these events streaming concurrently with 100s possibly 1000s of people viewing each event all via the website.

As you can imagine I won’t be go into too much detail but can any of you high light some of the technical issues and constraints I’ll face.
