live streaming: how to stream ASF file to several users


I have been an ip address through which an asf file is played. I want to stream the asf file to more number of concurrent users.

Is it possible to do so

If I'm not mistaken VLC player can re-broadcast to a single host only.

You may try Streaming media proxy and caching solutions

currently we started using windows 2k3 but the problem is that it is buffering too much .

are there any settings to avoid this.

I'm not really an expert in the server software. But there should be some settings. It really depends on a streaming server you use.

As for client software, players usually have buffering settings. At least Windows Media Player and Real Player do.
