Linux LiveCD with Pre-Installed Video Downloader?Hello, e-Group!
For many, many months now, I have been looking for a Linux LiveCD that includes a pre-installed video downloader (like Video DownloadHelper or any other), but my hunt has gone astray. Are you familiar with such a Linux LiveCD? If so, please let me/let us know. I know, I can add the downloader to Firefox after booting up the LiveCD, but I don't want to do that every time I use the LiveCD. Additionally, I cannot use a remaster software such as Remastersys so as to keep the modify liveCD (with the downloaded add-on) due to memory constraints. Thus, what I really need is a pre-installed downloader on a LiveCD. Finally, please note that I am looking for a downloader and not a converter, though a combo downloader/converter with idenpendent steps is not out of the question. Thanks very much to everybody! Re: Linux LiveCD with Pre-Installed Video Downloader?Build your own LiveCD. If you can't do it on your computer, use some other computer.

Re: Linux LiveCD with Pre-Installed Video Downloader?Hello, Stream Recorder!
The only other computers I have access to are computers with 64-bits OS's, so they are useless to me for this purpose (my computer is for 32-bits OS's). One way or another, I think I have found a solution to my problem, and that is "Pinguy OS" on LiveCD. Apparently, this LiveCD comes with a pre-installed "Video DownloadHelper". I haven't tested this LiveCD yet, but once I do, I will report back to the forum. Thumbs up, Carlos Albert Disco Makberto |

Re: Linux LiveCD with Pre-Installed Video Downloader? Why can't you edit an OS image on a 64-bit OS?

Re: Linux LiveCD with Pre-Installed Video Downloader?I am not familiar with editing images, though I have some experience with remastering LiveCD's while running. I used to do that when I used to have access to a better computer, that is, a 32-bit computer. As for the 64-bits computers, I have tried many 32-bits LiveCD's, but they don't work correctly, thus I cannot remaster these LiveCD's on those computers.

Re: Linux LiveCD with Pre-Installed Video Downloader?"Pinguy OS" on LiveCD works, but it is unstable on my system. At any rate, it is worth checking this distro out as it might be stable on your system.
