JumpTV + Re-streaming DRM-protected Windows Media streams to xbox = Possible?

I've purchased an account on JumpTV.com because it displays all the soccer matches from the world qualifying. And I was tired of using the stream sites to view it for free just so it can cut off again.

Basically what I want to do is similar to:
http://stream-recorder.com/forum/re-...ome-t1511.html

I have the account and its DRM with login/pass and I would like to send the live feed to my webserver, so that I can watch my happy soccer game at the computer, and my other family members watch it in the basement with their friends at the same time.

I would prefer to avoid re-encoding the stream, just want a direct feed and have it forwarded (uploaded) to my website (via ftp). So I can access the "file" through the xbox in the basement.

I don't think BlinkoTV supports this, maybe VLC? if so how? thanks

Re: JumpTV + Re-streaming + Possible?

The only way of watching DRM-protected content on your TV that I know is by connecting video out of you graphics card and audio out of your sound card with your TV. It is simple and you can watch video on your computer and your TV simultaneously.

I don't really know how to re-broadcast DRM protected Windows Media streams. And it is not possible to watch DRM protected streams on your Xbox using xbmc.

The whole concept of DRM is not to allow you to watch content where you want and how you want. It is better to use content providers that don't protect content with DRM.

Re: JumpTV + Re-streaming DRM-protected Windows Media streams to xbox = Possible?

What if I decided to take the encoding route? Then would I be able to stream it to my web server via ftp?

I guess re-streaming it is not going to work unless I re-encode the stream to remove the DRM, but the question still remains, will I be able to capture the live stream, encode, and relay the live stream to the web server?

Thanks

You can probably find software that allows to capture videos from screen and broadcast it. It won't be cheap. And I don't think this is a good option at all. It is much easier to hook a couple of cable to your computer. The only problem here is that you need a graphics card with TV out.

It seems like Windows Media Center and Windows Media Connnect can stream DRM protected content. I have never tried that... especially with live DRM protected streams.

What about removing the DRM all together like in this thread:

HowTo Instructions for Removing DRM with drmdbg & FreeMe2 (from Windows Media Player)

Also, what about streaming a DRM file live stream to the server, and have the webhost apply the login/pass to auto authenticate the protected file.

Which of of the two is best? Thanks

OR.....

view the stream on my computer and use my webcam as a source of re-distributing the stream without the DRM? is it possible for a webcam to act as a source for something being watched on the net?

EDIT: one last thing, I managed to find this link also now (
Code:
http://www.exbii.com/showthread.php?t=413114
)

Basically I can download camtasia software and select LIVE FEED OUTPUT and have whatever is playing as my video source to display for streaming purposes, couldn't i use VLC now to stream it to my server? Just a few ideas Im not sure how it might work out.

DRM removal software is intended to be used with legally purchased files. I haven't seen any programs that can remove DRM protection from live streams except for screen video capture software.

I have no idea what this means.

You can record anything with your web-cam, but I don't think the quality will be good enough.

I'm not familiar with camtasia live feeds, but it may work.
Also there are lots of programs that can broadcast your desktop.
