Instant recording/saving/capturing/ripping/downloading of SlingMedia Slingbox stream

Jaksta Recorder for Slingbox allows instant recording/saving/capturing/ripping/downloading of Slingbox streams. This allows you to record/rip/capture/save/download streaming video with audio from Slingbox PRO-HD, Slingbox SOLO or Slingbox AV.

How to configure Jaksta Recorder for Slingbox :
When you first open Jaksta Recorder for SlingBox, you'll be presented with the main remote screen, which asks for your Slingbox ID and password.



You'll need to enter this information to record. Here's how to locate your Slingbox ID:

1. Log on to your account on watch.slingbox.com
2. Select your Slingbox and start watching.
3. Click Options to see your Slingbox ID. Copy the ID to the clipboard.
4. Paste that ID into Jaksta Recorder for Slingbox. The password is the same password that you selected when setting up your Slingbox.
5. Be sure to disconnect your session on slingbox.com before you attempt to connect with Jaksta Recorder for Slingbox. The two cannot be connected at the same time.

Note: The IP/Slingbox ID field can also accept the IP address of your Slingbox. We recommend connecting with your Slingbox ID, but if you'd like to use the direct IP address, you can do so.

How to record/rip/capture/save/download SlingMedia Slingbox video with audio:

1. Once you've configured Jaksta Recorder for SlingBox, try recording live TV in one of these ways:
   • Click the Start button to record the current channel.
   • Enter a channel number, then click Start. Jaksta Recorder for SlingBox will change the remote TV to the channel number you specified.
2. Once recording starts, the Start button turns into a Stop button like this:
   
   
   
3. Click Stop to end the recording.

Conversion Settings

By default, Jaksta Recorder for SlingBox will create an .asf format Windows Media file from your recorded video. Turn this into a different format automatically by choosing the format of your choice from the Conversion Settings list.
