Run the following in the Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install libreoffice
sudo apt-get install libreoffice-gnome

Note that LibreOffice will remove your OpenOffice automatically.
