HELp!!! i SMEll a stink bomb from amazon!

Hello!!

Does anyone know why today, March 3 all of the sudden Calibre is no longer able to read files from my kindle purchases...i.e I bought my two books and wanted them converted to epub and bam!! I get some sh*t about PID key..missing all of the sudden.....I suspect that has to do with the update I got unwillingly from amazon....

Please Help to unravel this INJUStice t

I experienced the same thing, on the same day, on two separate computers, and the second computer did not receive a Kindle update, it's still v1.8.3.

"Error: No key found. Most likely the correct PID has not been given."

And I get the same result when using a trial version of 'Kindle DRM Removal', so it doesn't seem to be a Calibre problem. If you find a solution, I'd sure like to hear about it.

Problem solved . . .

1) uninstalled v1.9 of K4PC
2) rebooted (just to be sure)
3) reinstalled v1.8.3 of K4PC using my previously saved installation file
4) registered K4PC with my Amazon account
5) downloaded all Kindle books from my account

The re-downloaded books are all convertible by Calibre with no error messages.
