Help with Napster, Vista, Replay MusicI downloaded the trial version of Replay Music so that I could see if it works with my Napster account before buying a copy. I can't get it to work.
PROBLEM 1: When I record something it looks like it is recording, but once the song is done the recording time goes from 4:03 (example) to 0:00 and the song will not play. I tried recording just 1:30 of a song and it did work. But when I try to record the whole song, it looks like it is recording because the recording bar is moving around and the time is accumulating. But once I stop the recording the time goes away and the song will not play. PROBLEM 2: The software doesn't know who the artist or song is. SETTINGS AND SYSTEM INFO: I have Vista and IE8 I'm using the web based version of Napster I have the plug in installed on Windows Media Player I removed the user security per the Applian instructions for Vista (Is this really required?) I have set Replay Music to use the sound card I launch Replay Music and press "record" before opening IE8 Help? If I can't get Replay Music to work, what should I try? Thanks, Bill |

Can you upload your recording somewhere so that we can try to play it? Like any other individual song tagging program, it can't only recognize can't tag all the songs. The tagging doesn't work for you at all? I suggest you to visit Applian Users Forum as well http://forum.applian.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5 It might have the answer to your problem already. Plus Applian support is usually very fast at answering questions. |

Re: Help with Napster, Vista, Replay MusicAlternatives of Replay Music can split songs when recording at best. If you don't care about song splitting and tagging, then you may use any direct sound recording software, but I bet you do care about your time.

Re: Help with Napster, Vista, Replay MusicIt seems like there are no general suggestions here. Your log file needs to be analyzed. I recommend you to submit a support ticket at applian.com and attach your log file. You may also PM it to me and I will re-send it to the developer.
To get your log file: In RM's settings just click on the "Output" tab and there are buttons that say "Display Log" or "Open Log folder". You can either click "Display Log" and just cut and paste the info and PM it to me. Or click "Open Log Folder" and then just PM me the file as an attachment. |
