help - desperate to find solution for downloading video on a site

I've tried a dozen of plugins (flashgot,...) and a dozen of apps (video downloaders),... but there's no way to download video from www.truefire.com
Only one program does the job: mac video downloader (=getFLV)

problem is I don't have the money to buy this rather expensive stw.

Does anyone know how to download from www.truefire.com?
It must be an app with a integrated browser, because you have to login to see the videos.

https://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/ and http://applian.com/replay-media-catcher/ work, but I do not know what restrictions have free versions.

Re: help - desperate to find solution for downloading video on a site

thank you for your reply.

Did you actually tried these out on www.truefire.com?

I've tried replay media cather (on mac): full of bugs and didn't do the job on truefire.com.

Maybe I'll just install Windows on my macbook and have a go with internetdownloadermanager. Installing Virtual Machine on my mac to install windows takes some time though, so if you could tell me in advance that it actually works with truefirecom, that would be great

thank you

Hey body

I just tried, and it seams to work fine. But only the free ones, because i dont have an account.

Edit. Could also download locked ones, without an account :-) That is just great :-)

Re: help - desperate to find solution for downloading video on a site

thx.

I have something strange happening: when I start the Mac OSX version of replay media cather, my dropbox connection drops out, and when trying to reach the truefire website, an message appear:"your connection is not secure". Quit replay media cather and I can visit truefire, but starting it up again won't even play the video's.

I guess I'll have to try on windows...?
I'm suprised there isn't any app that does the job on mac (expect mac video downloader which is absurd in pricing)

I've installed Windows 10 on my mac and downloaded replay media catcher 6. Unfortunately I can't download no video from truefire.
I don't understand how you managed to do so.
It download the .flv file with the same title from the video, but is merely 1,25kb size.
and some files the app can't download at all.
firefox is disabled in windows (same error as on mac: no secure connection). Only can use IE.

Do not paste the link, go to the desired page with active "Auto". If you still have problems, download Internet Download Manager using PlayOnMac.

Re: help - desperate to find solution for downloading video on a site

I'm getting to feel kind of silly, but I've tried every damn possibility with replay media cather: auto on, MS Edge, Firefox, paste link, etc: it doesn't work. why?? I've been around computers (MS and MAC), this is really frustrating me. replay media cather doesn't download any video, only other files, and the video's that are detected, end up saying "complete (error)" and = 0KB

I've already spend hours on this, why can't I just find a way to download...
