hardware for streams

Hi,
I am planning to start streaming services.
Just wanted to know what type of servers i should use.
I see lot of different types like colocation, full server with different memory. My idea is i will give url to some server like Red ,which is the cheapest for streaming right?
I dont want to use the source urls bandwidth .So i will host it and people can connect to my server ip.
Plan is about 10 channels live stream (restream for now)
its Satellite channels which i think need to use another line for uplinking.
I want to run it on my own for now so that i can learn it.
Can u tell me how to find the server requirements for 10 channels on linux . Any alternative to red which is free /cheap.. Wowza is expensive right?
