Has anybody else tried any of the grabtoolz programs? All of them fail to start for me with an access module violation error.

I've tried ComedyCentral Grabber, MTV Grabber and Hulu Grabber and any errors like that on Windows XP SP3.

What OS do you use?

I have the same problem in both Windows XP and Windows Vista.

I tried to change DEP settings
(Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Performance -> Settings)

from "Essential windows programs and services only"
to
"All programs and services except those I select".

And turned off DEP for Hulu Grabber, MTV Grabber, ComedyCentral Grabber, CBS Grabber to no avail

the programs that are working for me are save2pc Pro + Extra Pack and Hulu Video Downloader from Download Toolz. Although both of these programs share the same code base as the grabtoolz programs, they do not cause the error mentioned in this thread.

Freeware Hulu Video Downloader works fine for me. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Hulu Video Downloader works, but it always downloads the lowest possible bitrate file from hulu. It is the sort of file that is suited for an ipod or other small portable device. It won't ever download even the standard quality version that typically plays in the flash player.

If anyone orders save2pc Pro + Extra Pack, let us know which bitrate file it downloads from hulu if the "high quality" box is checked. It seems that save2pc Pro + Extra Pack will just pick one of the high bitrate files, rather than offering a choice.

I'll never order save2pc Pro + Extra Pack, since they use Plimus for payment processing:
