Google Earth Streaming captureHas anyone figured out how to capture the video stream from the "Google Earth" program( http://earth.google.com ). I have tried a few video stream capture programs but since google earth does not have a URL(That I know of) I cannot capture the stream.
I did see this the first time google earth connected: 65.87.18.131:HTTP Thanks...... |

I don't really think you may use a stream recorder her. Try screen capture software instead.

CamStudio by RenderSofthttp://www.rendersoftware.com/products/camstudio is a product that I just found that will do it. It is freeware. I tried a number of commercial packages with no luck - some of them locked 1.5 GB of Ram on a 64-bit processor - Camstudio did the trick nicely on the first try.

JimmBurton, your link is not valid.
And I haven't seen any decent free screen capture software. |

Re: Google Earth Streaming captureThe software mentioned above is available from www.camstudio.org.
I've just obtained it and it does do the trick, albeit with a degree of visible compression. I believe there is a link on the website for better codecs, but I justed wanted to prove to myself it could be done without upgrading to Pro or EC versions of Google Earth and it can! Jason |
