What exactly does he know? he gave no solution other than to wait and hope they bother to fix it.

He knows what he is talking about when it comes to hulu... and he did offer kind of a fix. Use hulu desktop if you want higher bitrates as it still works, and also if you have seen many of his posts he is usually correct in what he has to say. Just look at his post history.
