Re: GetFLV - Troubleshooting many problems with GFLV ...

I am using GetFLV (registered version) and am unable to download the most recent episodes of programs since around Friday 24th August 2012. In Getflv I keep getting the message "A Digital Rights Error has occurred"

I have emailed GetFLV support but so far they have not come back to me.

@cwaite

I'm having exactly the same problem dating dating from the same date and also haven't heard back from GetFLV tech support. I really hope they find a solution to this.

Re: GetFLV - Troubleshooting many problems with GFLV ...

any way of resuming downloads that appear to be frozen? i'm using latest version of getflv, registered yesterday and am trying to download 2 large (45 minute) about 500mb files from YouTube each time they get stuck about 149 mb into the download for some reason. I can't see a resume option. if I double click and click on start it seems to go haywire, the size of file disappears, and anyway nothing happens to restart the download. I have deleted and tried again on both and got stuck at nearly the same point. they are both Scottish TV videos RTMP and both about the same length. a couple of medium size one have also 'frozen' as well though it was fine with a 150mb download from Iplayer. is there a size limit or something?

Re: GetFLV - Troubleshooting many problems with GFLV ...

Every version after 9.1.0.0 comes with a bug. When downloading streams without a fixed end, a live stream for example, the FLV Downloader part is bugged. Like always downloading a live stream never automaticly stops. That's correct and the way it always has been.

However, every new version seems to "expect" more data coming in although no data is sent from the server anymore. You can easily spot the differences looking at the "Remained" column. In version 9.1.0.0 for example the "Remained" time stops when GetFLV does no longer receives data from the server. In all the new version the time keeps counting on and on and on. Not only it's harder to check if a stream has ended it always produces buggy/bumpy/skippy files.

I mailed your support at least three times about it but nothing changed since 9.1.0.0 and the last version I tried (9.1.1.4).

So since I'm forced to use 9.1.0.0 I mailed your support again, with a "suggestion". Instead of fixing the bug I asked how to disable/override the Flash version check that GetFLV does. This way I could use an old version of GetFLV and still update Flash.

Re: GetFLV - Troubleshooting many problems with GFLV ...

hello 9.1.2.6.

new Video Capture feature is great to have as a feature in the new version. this and RTMP Record are still being worked out obviously, but these things take time.

only really bad thing ive noticed in this new version is the FLV Audio Ripper doesnt seem to be working properly for me anymore. ive been using J.D. Purcell's FLV Extract and VLC for these conversions in the meantime.

happy new year everyone

Re: GetFLV - Troubleshooting many problems with GFLV ...

As of this morning I'm having problems with GetFLV being able to download links from digitalplayground. When I select watch movie, instead of getting the flash player with the play button and timeline, all I see is a still jpeg. This is only happening on my laptop running XP, IE8 and the lastest adobe flash player. This just started this morning. It works fine on my home pc running Windows 7 with IE9, and even the trial version works on a different laptop running Vista with IE9. Any change recently? I'm running GetFLV version 9.1.2.8. Has XP and adobe flash finally reached EOL?

Re: GetFLV - Troubleshooting many problems with GFLV ...

Is this the feedback thread for Getflv?

I want to record live broadcast from tastytrade.com

Downloaded the latest getflv and does not capture anything. I have a very slow internet connection and want to record the broadcast stream for viewing later.

Thank you for any assistance.
