How to get PID for Kindle for iPhone

How to get the PID for Kindle for iPhone:
  1. Download kindlepid.py
    Code:
    http://skochinsky.googlepages.com/azw-0.2.zip
  2. Launch iTunes and get your iPhone connected to your laptop /computer.
  3. Click on your Device in iTunes. This will bring your device menu.
  4. In the iPhone Menu, find the SERIAL NUMBER. Click on it. The number will change onto UDID. Copy the UDID.
  5. Open command prompt and go to your python folder on your computer. Then type "kindlepid.py your_UDID".
  6. The resulting 10 character ID is your iPhone PID. It is tied to your purchased .prc files.

Re: How to get PID for Kindle for iPhone

I have attempted to use this. I've entered the UDID correctly on more than one occasion and I've really struggled - finally got kindlepid.py to run (had to make sure it was in my python folder) and then....

Invalid Serial Number. The exact error message was :

"Mobipocket PID calculator Copyright 2007, 2009 Igor Skochinsky. Warning Unrecognized Serial Number. Please recheck input."

I've also entered the Serial Number (not the UDID) and I also tried the UDID (which I found in Itunes by clicking on Serial Number).
Neither worked. Got the same error message. I have an iphone 4. Please, someone help!! I can't get this to work for love or for money.
Thx,

Re: How to get PID for Kindle for iPhone

If you have a Windows PC / Mac, download Kindle for PC / Kindle for Mac.

Also download DRM Tools Archive and try the Calibre DRM removal plug-in for removing DRM.
