Free online music players and why paying for music?

I have a question in MP3 players. As people can get more updated versions of MP3 players from the internet by using Google search engine. Why people are still going for a paid MP3 players. The players which can found in Google can be used for playing MP3 songs, converting it into other formats for mobiles with less memory space. srboffin

What kind of free online music players do you like? Do they allow you to download music for free? How do you convert music from them?
