I was able to find this link to the game I'm interested in downloading http://www.fasthockey.com/embedded_p...hp?game=898161.

I tried pasting it into VLC and I haven't had any luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately that link only downloads the first half of the video. Using Video DownloadHelper, I tried to get the second half as well, but that download failed (several times).

Add the value "seek"

It will start the registration from that point, try to see what is the value for the second half. The output file is always 2GB also for a couple of minute.

Okay, so I tried downloading the second half, adding &seek5200 to the url and it started off well, but the download failed about half way through. I can't understand why I can watch the whole video when it's streaming, but I can only successfully download the first half.

When I paste that in my browser, I just get a 3.4kb file. Should I be pasting it in a different program? Thanks.

I though you said that you wanted to play it in vlc?

If not, use it with ffmpeg or livestreamer to download.
