If you get the following error in Wine

Code:

fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.VC80.CRT"

you can fix it by using winetricks in the terminal

On Arch Linux, winetricks is even in the repositories which is quite nice because it gets updated automatically then.

This is great indeed. I haven't found it in the Ubuntu Karmic repositories.
