Downloading BBC iPlayer files in 2011

Does anyone know of any way now, in 2011, of downloading these files so they can be retained on the computer and not expire? I don't care if I have to pay, so long as the solution works and (if I paid) is monitored and updated if the BBC do something to invalidate the first solution. I have found numerous references to solutions that may well have worked at the time, but by now (2011) have been invalidated. I contacted Daniusoft as they seem to be a leading player, but they said they cannot handle the MP4 files iPlayer uses.
