Download/Capture/Save flash .SWF files

Hi,

You have helped me in the past, but I am having trouble capturing a .swf file....

I have read the threads on here, but still cannot capture videos from a particular site - I have tried:

Replay A/V
WM Recorder 11
Replay Media Catcher
URL Snooper ( with rtmp;netstream; and flv in the addiotional search string) !

What am I doing wrong mate ?

The site I am trying to use is http://www.drawpictures.co.uk/

(select "promo directors", and then try and capture ANY video)

really stumped, but as you can see I have tried everything !!

Help would be apreciated......

Sean !!!!

Re: Download/Capture/Save flash .SWF files

Replay A/V should be able to get these .SWF videos if you check the following options in the URL finder:
-Show SWF (flash animation) files
-Show cached audio/video

It didn't really work for me... so I've contacted the developer. Hopefully the bug will be fixed very soon.

p.s.
I had no any problem getting .SWF videos from the cache folder of my Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Re: Download/Capture/Save flash .SWF files

I've updated the Replay A/V, marked both checkboxes mentioned above and .SWF files were captured successfully.

The next version of Replay Media Catcher will be able to get such videos as well.

Ahh....... I am using Replay A/V 7 - would I need to upgrade then to Replay A/V 8 , as I don't have the option to check any boxes in the URL finder section ?

You need to upgrade to Replay A/V 8 if you don't wanna grab the files from the cache of you browser (of course the new version can do much more than that).
