Connecting a PC to a TV (VGA to RCA/SCART or HDMI to RCA)?Hi,
I have an ATI graphics card in my pc, it has VGA D-Sub out, and HDMI out. My TV is a fairly old fellow, but he's reliable, and it has Scart in and the 3 RCA sockets on the front. I know these are all different systems, but surely there's a simple way to connect the two together? I don't need audio, that already goes through an amp from the PC. I'd rather not spend a fortune on a converter box, as it's only to watch the occasional video on a larger screen, so is there a simple adaptor cable I can use? Any home-entertainment boffins out there who can help? Many thanks in advance! |

Re: Connecting a PC to a TV (VGA to RCA/SCART or HDMI to RCA)?HDMI is digital, RCA is analog, so HDMI to RCA converter will cost a lot, while it won't provide any decent quality.
VGA is analog, so you can use a VGA to RCA adapter. |

Re: Connecting a PC to a TV (VGA to RCA/SCART or HDMI to RCA)?I recommend to get an HDTV with HDMI instead... if you watch HD videos.
