How to change the Windows Media Center AAC decoder in Windows 7 ?Hi,
I'm using Windows Media Center in Windows 7. And would like to change the AAC audio decoder of Windows Media Center to Haali Media Splitter. Because in Haali Media Splitter I set the Audio Language Priority to English, so when I run any movie on my computer containing several Audio Tracks it runs automatically the English track, and it works on my computer, when I use Media Player Classic for example ... But it doesn't work on Windows Media Center ... In Windows Media Center for all movies, when I run a movie containing an OGG track for example it works, it runs the default language from Haali (English), but when I run a movie containing an AAC track it doesn't work, it run the first track (which is French in this case). For subtitles tracks there is no problem, since I changed the Subtitle Language Priority in Haali to French, it always runs the French subtitle. But for AAC audio track as I said it doesn't work in Windows Media Center, but it works on Media Player Classic ... So my question is : is there any way to change the AAC audio decoder from Windows Media Center to Haali ? Thanks |

Re: How to change the Windows Media Center AAC decoder in Windows 7 ?Thanks to clsid from Codec Guide and the version 1.5 pf Win7 DS Filter Tweaker I was able to change the AAC decoder to FFDshow.
Now When I run a movie containing AAC tracks in Windows Media Center it runs FFDShow in the taskbar, but it keeps running the French audio instead of the English one (as it is set in Haali Media Splitter). Any idea ? Do I have to set the English track in FFDshow ? Or FFDShow can't choose the track ? Thanks. |

Re: How to change the Windows Media Center AAC decoder in Windows 7 ?That's weird (and I think the FFDShow will not solve the problem).
Since I changed the Haali Media Splitter Language for Audio & Subs : - When I run my movie (with the AAC audio) in Media Player Classic, it runs in the task bar Haali Media Splitter & FFDShow (FFa) and it works perfectly (English Audio & French Subs). - When I run this same movie in Windows Media Center it also runs Haali Media Splitter & FFDShow in the task bar + DirectVobSub. But doesn't work as the Audio track is not the one set in Haali but the first track of the video (French). But it works for the subs (French) & for other videos containing non-AAC audio ... I have no idea why it doesn't work for Videos with AAC audio ... |

Re: How to change the Windows Media Center AAC decoder in Windows 7 ?This problem is too complicated for me. I suggest you to contact Microsoft support and/or ask this question at doom9.
p.s. Why do you use Windows Media Center? |
