Capturing Berkeley webcasts (Capture Real Video/Media/Audio rtsp:// .rm stream)I have tried any number of different applications to capture the video webcasts from UC Berkeley webcasts, all with no success. Using NetTransport, the streaming file shows a few bytes downloaded and then the download hangs and the projected time for download just keeps going higher and higher.
For example: http://anonym.to/?http://http://webc...sid=1906978511 Any suggestions or anyone have success with a specific method? Thank you. |

Re: Capturing Berkeley webcasts (Capture Real Video/Media/Audio rtsp:// .rm stream)I've been using NetTransport to download Real Media stream from Berkeley for ages.
The best thing is that you can right click on the web-page and select "Download all with NetTransport". NetTransport can postprocess .RM metafiles and start downloading rtsp:// .rm Real Media streams automatically. It works perfectly with Berkeley webcasts. There are many media stream recorders that support rtsp:// real media streams, but NetTransport is definitely the one that I recommend to use here. It is not perfect. Even when I use I thread to download .RM videos through the RTSP protocol, I have to check every downloaded video, because sometimes they are not fully downloaded. p.s. Your problem is probably caused by the old version of NetTransport. |

Re: Capturing Berkeley webcasts (Capture Real Video/Media/Audio rtsp:// .rm stream)Thanks so much, indeed I am using an old freeware version of NetTransport. Time to update. I want to capture several full class videos before they decide to eliminate them from their servers.
