Capture RM video/audio to M4A or MP3 Audio

I am looking for a solution to capture audio from an Osprey capture to MP3 or M4A format for podcast.

I have tried an number of different solutions and have not fund the answer. Most solutions require a sound card. The solution must run on a server and be able to schedule.

Or a way to transcode RM video/audio files into MP3 or M4A formats, audio only. I have tried 3 software solutions and they all have consistency problems.

TYIA,
Mike

Lots of programs can download RM streams including RM Recorder, Mass Downloader, HiDownload, NetTransport, r7c (real7ime converter), Streambox VCR, VLC.

r7c can convert RM files to MP3 or WAV, however I dunno how to schedule it.

You may also download and convert RM files to other formats using VLC player. It has a command line interface that can be used when scheduling.

You may also download a stream with any stream recorder supporting Real Medis streams and convert it using video conversion software.

Thank you, I will look into r7c.

I produce the content so capturing a stream is not an issue. The audio can be taken directly from the source or transcoded from RM on the local machines.

VLC has proven to be problematic when encoding just audio and I have not had any success with it.

TY again for your advice.
