Can't remove DRM protection from mms:// .wmv video stream
Could you please suggets a solution...
I currently enjoy watching Takeshi Castle Videos from a Japanese Website (GooID). These are DRM protected streams, will not work with anything less than wmp11, and create an IBX starting 6001, ie none of the current lossless DRM removal tools appear to work.
The Stream is accessed via an mms: protocol linked URL, for which I have a legally purchased license. If I attempt to save the stream, the wmp11 will not play it (because it is an elimentry stream). If it is converted to a wmv program stream, it plays, but is just garbage. ie the DRM has no effect once converted.
I cannot stream record, because even with a good broadband connection, the video needs a high degree of buffering, and hence pauses after only 60 s of playback for the next 60 s to download, rendering screen capture pointless.
What are my options? I currently have machines rangeing from W7 to XP, and wmp10 to wmp12. wmp10 Will Not download the DRM license.
Kind regards,
Tim.
