Now the subtitles are stored with the same name as the mp4 inside the downloads folder, so when you play the stream the subtitles are showed automatically, at least with vlc. you're spot on. reinit does smoothen the download. however, no option to DL 720p? only the lowest and the highest which is 1080p.
