cant download streaming audio

i have a lenovo ideapad 305 im pulling my hair out.
I cant use my phone at work which means i cant use spotify i want to download so i can use on my ipod i downloaded spotify recorder and ive been to cloud downloader but nothing goes into the folders
i have audacity and have actually managed to enable stereo mix but nothing happens
i have gone throuigh forum but saw nothng for this
please help
just found a link but it doesnt mention ideapad 305
