how can I make sure that the internet is in DVR: can't PING my static ip address


Hi guys
I have a dvr and an adsl modem
I want to see my cameras from home
the problem is that I can't PING my static ip address from the net when it is connected to the DVR ?
DO i have to do sth in the dvr or the adsl route?

my dvr is named KPRO U2 series
and my dsl router is D-LINK
and the configuration is this
inDVR
ip 192.168.1.3
subnet: class c
gateway: 192.168.1.1(dsl internal ip)
Port 80

IN DSL
portforwarding
80 - TCP- enabled
I can see my cameras in local
BUT my problem is
HOW can I make sure that the Intrnet is accessible when it's connected to the DVR?
Please help me
