Can I connect a monitor to my laptop and have 2 screens that do not clone one anotherI have an HP laptop with a VGA and HDMI ports. Is it possible to be able to use two monitors at once? I mean the kind where i can drag stuff across from one screen together, not like they show the same thing (cloning one another).

Re: Can I connect a monitor to my laptop and have 2 screens that do not clone one anoJust connect your laptop with your monitor using a VGA cable. You can even extend your desktop onto a HDTV using an HDMI cable or a VGA cable.
I've done this before in Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux. You just need to plug-in your monitor or TV and change the graphics card settings. I was able to do that using every graphics card I had, even if they were built-in ones. |
