How to burn a Channel 4 on demand programme to disk

I want to burn a TV programme to DVD disk (to play on a DVD player) which is downloaded onto my PC from Channel 4 On demand. Could somebody please talk me through the process?

Try to use freeware DVDFlick. Although I prefer to use network media players instead of wasting time onto burning DVDs.

Thank you. How do I carry out the process using this software? Is it fairly straightforward?

It is an easy to use program. And it has a guide on the official web-site that should help you.

Re: How to burn a Channel 4 on demand programme to disk

I have recorded the programme I want to make a DVD of, using Hypercam. This has produced a Microsoft Video AVI file. When I try to process this in DVD Flick it tells me the file has no usable video track. The file does play. Any ideas please?

Re: How to burn a Channel 4 on demand programme to disk

If you use screen video capture software, then it is better to record using MPEG-2 video codec. Then the video should be remuxed into DVD-Video without any conversion.

MPEG-2 is used by DVD-Video discs. And it is a good video codec for recording. It doesn't require much resources of your PC and gives nice quality. The files might be pretty large, but this is not that important when you want to create DVD discs.

See the following thread for more:
How to convert MPEG-2 .MPEG videos to DVD-Video with menu, without quality loss?

See the following threads to learn how to download 4od videos or record them from screen:
Problem capturing 4od videos from screen (Recording channel4 on demand videos)
www.channel4.com: Any way to capture video from the new 4OD service?
www.channel4.com: Using Rtmpdump for downloading 4OD videos

After downloading or recording Flash Videos, MPEG-2 videos, you can convert them to MPEG-4 or MPEG-4 AVC videos supported by Sony PSP.
Feel free to ask more.
