how to broadcast windows media player video into justin.tvI have a channel in justin tv and I'm currently using superwebcam as my video capture device combined with jtv broadcaster. (i can't use FME in this computer for some odd reason). what I want to do is use windows media player as my video capture device so I can use the random function from wmp (the one from from superwebcam is pretty lousy), is there any add on or software that can make my wmp a video capture device so I can use it with justin tv broadcaster?
thanks |

Re: how to broadcast windows media player video into justin.tvI failed miseribly, the setup instructions required to work from the command console as the new vlc layout does not match the one showed in the wiki to start broadcasting from the vlc gui, the problem is the text commands require more experience on the console than the one I have.
all I was able to do is to play a test video file that I conveniently placed on the same folder as vlc from the cmd prompt (the problem is that I have 1500+ videos in portable harddrive), I couldn't get further than that. the explanation in the wiki requires advance knoledge.. I barely make it as newbie. I have a playlist in vlc, all I need is to broadcast that playlist in justin.tv right from vlc, saying it sounds simple, but actually doing it is another thing. I've asked around but I have yet to receive an answer. |

Re: how to broadcast windows media player video into justin.tvI suggest you to ask in the VLC forum. There are lots of people that know VLC very well there.

Re: how to broadcast windows media player video into justin.tvI figure out a way.. it's tecnically cheating but it works with ok (not great) results:
the key is to broadcast your desktop and make sure that area being broadcastes is where you locate the windows media player video. it is that simple. that way you can use your windonws media player as your source and video manager software, and let other software load that section of your desktop onto jtv broadcaster. I've being using superwebcam but I guess you can try with other sofware that also lets you broadcast your desktop. I'll try vlc, I guess it should work ok also. I like the wmp function to shuffle the videos because my channel in justin.tv plays 4-5minut clips and shuffling (random play) is a must for me! |
