BlogTV.com: Problem playing .@@@ file after recording rtmp stream with FLV Recorder

I have been trying to download some rtmp streaming video with FLV Recorder (Replay Media Catcher won't work at this site). It seems to download fine, ie. records the right amount of time, and the file size is appropriate. But when I go to play it back, it will not play because it has saved with a file extension of .@@@. Info on that extension seems sketchy. Does anyone know if that can be converted to flv? or anything playable? or what the heck .@@@ even means! Thanks!

Re: .Problem recording rtmp stream: FLV Recorder records to a .@@@ file

You can try to rename .@@@ file to .flv file.

You can also try to download/rip RTMP videos with Orbit Downloader and WM Recorder.

If you post or PM a link, I will try to provide more help.

Re: Problem playing .@@@ file after recording rtmp stream with FLV Recorder

Hello!

My apologies for bringing up an old thread, but I'm having this exact same problem and a search on google brought me here.

I was recording a live BlogTV stream on FLV recorder, and it would seem FLV Recorder was able to download the entire show, only it saved it as a .@@@ file. I've tried converting this in several converters (SUPER, Total Video Converter), but I cannot find a program that can convert this file type into a viewable file. This .@@@ file itself is 70mb, so there must be some data in it, right? It's just a matter of getting it out, it would seem.

Also, changing the file extension to .flv does not work either.

Any suggestions?

The only solution I see it so try other RTMP Flash stream recorders.

The following thread has some information on restoring inclompleter flv files downloaded by Orbit Downloader. It might help you as well.

Re: Problem playing .@@@ file after recording rtmp stream with FLV Recorder

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried Replay Media Catcher, and it captures BlogTV just fine. I will be using this for recording BlogTV in the future.

However, I'm still left with a 70mb .@@@ file that I cannot convert into a playable file. Would it be possible if I upload this file somewhere and have you take a look at it? Or, should I just give up all hope?

All I know is there is 70mb of something, and someone smarter than me must know how to get at it.

Re: Problem playing .@@@ file after recording rtmp stream with FLV Recorder

i'm nto sure what to say, I used Replay Media Catcher 3.x and was able to record the file just fine, and play it back with the flv player. So ar you able to PLAY the flv file, but the only problem is you can't convert it? Have you tried any Audio and Video Converters yet?

Re: BlogTV.com: Problem playing .@@@ file after recording rtmp stream with FLV Record

Sorry, my last post was a little unclear.

Yes, I have now tried to record broadcasts on BlogTV with Replay Media Catcher (RMC) 3 and I can play the files just fine; no problems.

My issue was that for one particular show, I had FLV Recorder (and not RMC) recording throughout the duration of it. What I ended up with at the end of the show was a 70mb .@@@ file, which I can neither play nor convert. Since this was a live broadcast, I cannot simply go back and re-record the show with RMC.

If you want a better detail of my problem, you are welcome to give it a try: Open FLV Recorder and hit record. Next, go to blogtv.com and go to any currently live broadcasting show. When you exit out of the broadcast, FLV Recorder will produce two files: 1 larger .@@@ file, and 1 smaller (<1kb) .flv file with the same name.

Herein lies the inexplicable problem.

Aaaah! Should I just give up now?
