Best program to cut/split flv files without re-encoding (without losing quality)

Hi

I have tried AVS Video Editor, but some of my capped clips do not play audio with avs video editor for some reason.

What other options do i have if i wish to cut/split my flv captures, any help would be appreciated. I have Jaksta 4 but im unsure if i can cut files with it, i know i can convert with it.

Furthermore id like this program to do the project withouth re-encoding so i dont lose quality.

AFAIK Jaksta can't split files.

Contact AVS support and attach your video files.

You may also try to use freeware Avidemux. You may need to fix some FLV files before editing.

I am using a 14-day trial of Machete Pro (it would cost $20 to buy). It says it is a "lossless" video editor so you don't lose quality. It is quite easy to use, with icons to find last/next key frame, which is necessary (I understand) with flv - you don't need to with wmv, which is the other format I've used it for.

There is a free version, Machete Lite, but it only does wma and avi.

Another very user-friendly flv editor is Freemake Video Converter - but there's a snag - edited files can only be converted (to lots of formats) or uploaded to YouTube, you cannot simply save them to disk when you've finished clipping, you have to convert them first. Machete does do that. Having both of them is a good idea, I'm beginning to think. Freemake is freeware.

I am not experienced, so I hope I have understood your needs correctly. I would think that if I can use those two programs, anyone can

flvtool++ is what you're looking for.

There's just one big problem... I can't find it anywhere! I need it myself, but I'm not finding any working download links. Does anyone have it on them??

My testing says that you do lose quality

Have had a look for flvtool++ and drawn a blank, apart from discussions/add-ons for large files.

Why dont you simply download some video cutter from web. There are lots of options for you.

Few i can suggest you is a top guide on how to cut FLV video. It also supports trimming almost all kinds of video files like MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, MKV, ASF, MXF, AVHCD, MTS, MOD, WebM, OGV, 3GP, etc.

It is a real time saver. Love it.
