Best program to capture web cam video in highest quality?

Hello,

I will be needing to record my web cam every few weeks and I'm looking for the best software that will be easy to use, but most importantly record the web cam in the highest quality possible.

Can anyone recommend a program? I was looking at active and Replay Media Catcher. Are those the best? Does WM Recorder 12 record web cams?

What kind of web cam do you have? Do you want to record from your PC or from a remote location? Is there a web-page from which the video can be recorded?

its a logitech. i want to record from my pc, ill be there to record it. no, i was thinking to record it from yahoo messenger.

If you don't need any security features, you can use screen video capture software
